Did you know today is the 30th anniversary of the first episode of The Golden Girls? I didn’t until just now either! Here’s a great essay
about just how far ahead of its time the show was… and quite possibly, still is. Wait. Why am I emailing you from my store to talk about the Golden Girls? I made this t-shirt
over the summer in a fit of nostalgia and was shocked by just how many people it made smile. The craziest part is just how many people in their early 20s freak out when they see it– I think it reminds them of all the cool, older women who were in their lives growing up. It certainly does for me. I took it to San Diego Comicon a couple months ago and it I think was the first t-shirt I ever totally sold out of at the show. Anyway. I like to think of myself as a Sophia, but I know deep down I’m a Dorothy. (Don’t even get me started on which It’s Always Sunny character I think I am.) Have a lovely week.
